John Paddock, the Ottawa Senators head coach had reset his team with top line combinations. The top three line alignment will now have the sense of familiarity. The captain Daniel Alfredsson is back together with Jason Spezza and Dany Heatley. The wingers Dean McAmmod and Chris Neil are reunited with the Centre Mike Fisher. Antoine Vermette together with Chris Kelly and the latest addition Cory Stillman w ill cover the left wing. Paddock feels that Dean, Neil and fisher plays better when they are together and Vermy ,Kelly and Cory with their speed and better hockey sense will provide the push the team needs.
Cory Stillman who was taken from the Carolina Hurricanes has given all the possible positions and is of opinion that within the first week it self he will play with each and every player in the line up. Paddock is confident that only a changing line up will be successful in the long run. Paddock has taken this decision with the consent of the players and has convinced them that this will help in familiarizing each and every player in the team as well as knowing which line ups are the best for the success of the team.

The losses are becoming overwhelming for the Ottawa Senators. Early in the third Marc-Andre Bergeron got his second power-play goal of the game. Senators center Jason Spezza ended his playing time shortly after the first period of  game after he was abruptly layed out by an open-ice check courtesy of Freddy Meyer. The Senators also lost right wing Dany Heatley for a period of up to 6 weeks after he dislocated his shoulder . Another standout, Rick DiPietro, ended the night with over 30 saves for New York to pull off the win. The Senators are off to the best start to a season in the National Hockey League history after Tuesday night’s 5-1 win over their rivals Maple Leafs. The Senators improved to an impressive 13-1-0, making this season’s Senators the fastest team in the league to reach the thirteen-win mark. Each Ottawa player got a phone call from John Paddock last summer warning against a letdown following their trip to the Stanley Cup final last year. Paddock warned against the type of meltdown that happened to 2006 Cup finalists Edmonton and the Panthers, both of which missed the playoffs last season.
