The Ottawa Senators may make the playoffs. There is still a chance, with three weeks remaining, but the chance is rather remote. They are quite a few points behind Montreal and a few places out of the playoff hunt. Last night, they had a chance to prove themselves against the New York Rangers, and they won the game 2-1. The Rangers are also working to be in the playoffs, but they haven’t clinched anything. Losing to the Senators is probably a blow to them, but in the NHL it’s all about raw numbers anyway. New York may well make it into the top 8 and make the playoffs. Ottawa may have to hope for a miracle.
