Sidney Crosby, who plays center for the Pittsburgh Penguins, is now skating his right leg which was injured previously. It is just two and a half weeks since he suffered the injury but now he is back on his feet. This is really good news for the Penguins and their fans. Though he is not yet completely recovered, he has been doing some light skating for the past few days. And according to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, he went through with his light skating before the team’s Wednesday practice in Mellon Arena. Crosby is the NHL’s present MVP. He obtained a sprain in his upper right ankle last January 18 when he crashed into the rear boards with his leg first. The Penguins lost the game that day to Tampa Bay Lightning. Crosby is not allowed to play for at least six to eight weeks, which will be until the middle of March. This means he will miss most of the remaining games for the season. Although the MVP can now lightly skate, according to the Penguins, there is still no prognosis as to when he can actually return to play again. This is Sidney Crosby’s first serious injury to date.
